Our Firm

At Kelley Accounting and Tax Advisors, we believe that the best financial advice comes from a balance of deep-rooted experience and technical expertise. Our firm was built on the foundation of a father-son partnership, bringing together two generations of dedicated service to the Texas small business community.

Our goal is to give our clients peace of mind that their complicated tax and financial situations are handled with individual care and precision, while building lasting relationships by providing business owners and individuals direct, personal access to a CPA advisor.

Curt Kelley

Curt Kelley, CPA

A 2004 Baylor University graduate, Curt spent the first decade of his career as a public high school educator, mastering the art of breaking down and explaining complex ideas. He now uses that skill to help small business owners navigate intricate accounting and financial concepts, empowering them to make more informed, confident decisions.

Curt’s transition to accounting began in 2012, driven by a desire to build a career that better supported his growing family. While working as an educator and raising young children, he earned the additional college credits required for the CPA exam. By 2015, he passed the final section, averaging a 95% across all four parts of the exam—a score that placed him in the top 0.1% of CPA candidates nationwide.

Since 2015, Curt has dedicated his practice to public accounting, serving as a strategic advisor for small businesses and the families who build them.

Eddie Kelley

Eddie Kelley, CPA

Ed is the foundational pillar of the firm, bringing decades of financial expertise to the table.

A 1972 graduate of the University of Houston, Ed’s career began in the private sector with Mitchell Energy and later as an Assistant Controller in the transportation industry. These early years provided him with an “inside-out” understanding of corporate operations that most public accountants never see.

In 1981, Ed followed his entrepreneurial spirit and founded the predecessor to our current firm. For over 30 years, Ed operated as a solo practitioner, forming meaningful partnerships with many local area businesses.

In 2015, Ed brought his son, Curt, on to the business and imparted much of that experience; both accounting and maintaining client relationships; which has led to the firm’s modern identity.
